Its autumn and in the UK normally people wouldn’t be getting excited about putting on board shorts and jumping into water. On October 12th a special event that would mark a change in the retail buying process was held at the indoor FlowRider location of Flow House Bedford.

The boardshort testing day was the first event of its kind giving free sport bands an environment where prospective buyers and clients could actually try the technical board short range from each brand, experience the benefits, understand the technology and of course have a great time!

The brands represented included Hurley, Nike 6.0, Alpinestars, Protest, Reef, Analog and Fox, each bringing their range of boardshorts to show off. Flow House staff were on hand to guide everyone through their first steps on a FlowRider and it wasn’t long before there was a little bit of competition between the brands and guys/gals riding to see who would be the best. Demos from one of the UK’s top riders Sam Butler entertained spectators and the more adventurous riders on their toes.

The day was a success with retailers and interested parties travelling from all over the UK and even as far away as France to visit the FlowRider boardshort test day. James Bickerdike from Hurley & Nike 6.0 said, “that the day has been really positive, something totally different and I’m stoked about coming back for another event soon”.
